BREAKING: Gilbert’s New Barrio Queen Announces Hiring Fair Next Week, More Than 130 Positions Available

BREAKING: Gilbert’s New Barrio Queen Announces Hiring Fair Next Week, More Than 130 Positions Available

Barrio Queen, named one of Esquire’s “Best New Restaurants in America” in 2012, is prepping to open its second location in Gilbert’s bustling Heritage Marketplace later this month. With this expansion, the restaurant group behind the mega-successful concept is thrilled to host a hiring fair next week to fill more than 130 front and back-of-house positions.

The job fair will be held at the following dates and times at the Gilbert location, located at 388 N. Gilbert Road:

  • Monday, April 6th from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm
  • Tuesday, April 7th from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
  • Wednesday, April 8th from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm

The acclaimed restaurant will look to hire experienced servers, bartenders, barbacks, hosts and line-cooks, along with many other positions. Interested applicants must have a current Maricopa County Food Handlers Card and all servers and bartenders must have a current Arizona Liquor Law Training Certification, or must obtain one upon hiring.

“This is an exciting time for Barrio Queen and we’re thrilled that our time is almost here to open at this long-awaited Gilbert location,” said Steve Rosenfield, president of Barrio Culinary Concepts. “We’re looking for the best of the best in the industry – those hospitality professionals who have the most fun when they are making guests happy.”

The beautifully custom-crafted location designed by LGE Design Group leads diners and passersby into Heritage Marketplace from the north on Gilbert Road, and the 4,500-square foot restaurant is primed to be even more lively that the original. The new location’s menu will continue to feature Mexican comfort food-inspired dishes and fan favorites like Chiles en Nogada, Pollo Coco and Cochinita Pibil, along with a host of new appetizers, healthier salads and fresh fish and seafood entrees.
